About
Project Arete Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals who are neglected, abandoned, or abused. Founded by Dr. Claudine Hudson, the organization was inspired by a conversation with Dr. Cornel West, her then Social Justice professor, whose passion for excellence helped shape its mission: to empower all people to reach their highest form of human excellence (Arete), regardless of race, income, gender, nationality, or life challenges.

Project Arete launched its first initiative addressing homelessness in Orange County, California, and has since expanded to support causes including bullying, domestic violence, immigration, and food insecurity. Our outreach is global, with programs serving communities in the Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America.
We provide aid by offering and coordinating resources through partner organizations. Our goal is to guide vulnerable individuals toward independence through mentorship, apprenticeship, social entrepreneurship, and compassionate support.
